Topic:  Hope and resilience – Jamie Auld

Session summary: Jamie will introduce some core models of hoping, and argue that certain types of hope may obscure our sense of agency in meeting life’s challenges. The aim of this is to promote discussion of personal experiences of hoping.

Biography: Jamie worked in mental health services for over 20 years, and now works as a lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. He has an interest in Buddhist psychology, and is an accredited mindfulness based psychotherapist.
