Debbie finished her PhD in 2019 and has now embarked on a two-year part-time Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded postdoctoral fellowship under Angie’s mentorship. Her work includes promoting and developing her PhD findings which looked at patient and public engagement and involvement for commissioning health services. You can find out more about her fellowship work here. Debbie used to be a university nurse lecturer at the University of Brighton. She has a long-standing interest in how people learn from experience and how the knowledge and skills from lived experience can be used to both inform and improve services for working in partnership with communities.
