I have a wide range of experience in the early years sector, including leading and managing several early years provisions. I am a qualified early years inspector and love what I do.

Along the way, I faced many barriers and found that having a positive attitude helped me to make resilient moves. My interests include early years and improving outcomes for children who speak English as an additional language. I am currently a PhD researcher at the University of Brighton’s School of Health Sciences. My topic is about finding out the support for disadvantaged parents in secondary schools. You can find out more about my research here. This is definitely out of my comfort zone but I feel lucky enough to embark on this academic journey.

I volunteer at Boingboing because I believe in their ethos and want to be part of a wonderful team that promotes resilience amongst people with adversities. I have come a long way since my dark days at secondary school. I am here to enable others to help them achieve the very best for themselves.
